GIMP je kratica za: GNU Image Manipulation Program. Sam program je open source alternativa za Photoshop(R) te postaje sve bolji i napredniji iz verzije u verziju.
Podržava mogućnost instalacije plug-inova, ekstenzija i pisanje vlastitih skripti. Postoji u verziji za Linux, MS Windows(R) i Mac OS X (R)
